The 50 percent-Ripper tiletype is exclusive in that it doesn't let enemies or shots to penetrate it. Only Samus could pass through the tiles. This means that the tiletype is particularly excellent for hiding secret passageways in rooms with wall-crawling enemies like Zoomers, Zeelas, or Novas.
